Norman Ray Buchanan, 85, of Paragould, died Sunday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. He was born April 24, 1923 in Puxico, Missouri the son of the late George and Lou Etta Estes Buchanan. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Gemma, two brothers and three sisters. Norman was a staff engineer at Elder Manufacturing, a World War II Army Veteran, and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Buchanan of the home; daughters: Rayla Buchanan of Denair, California and Angie Needham of Paragould; stepsons: Larry Biggerstaff and Tim Biggerstaff, both of McLeansboro, Illinois, and David Biggerstaff of Paragould; stepdaughter, Debbie Powers of McLeansboro, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M., Wednesday, at Heath Funeral Home. Family and friends will leave in procession from Heath Funeral Home at 12:15 P.M.
