Norma Doris Reeves

Norma Doris Goins Reeves, 79, was born on November 1, 1931 in Beech Grove and passed away on March 20, 2011 at St. Bernards Medical Center after a long term illness. Doris graduated from Stanford High School. She is survived by her children: Norma Lou Reeves, Junetta and Ed Becker, Norman and Debbie Reeves, Raymond Kyle Reeves; sisters: Louise Richardson, Lois Richardson, Jane Howard, Lydia Brown and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Reeves, daughter, Charlia Reeves, grandson, Richard Reeves, brother, David Goins, sister, Mary Goins Reilly, niece, Sandra Meeker and her parents, John and Cora Goins. Doris was a devoted homemaker, a member of Commissary Church of Christ and an active supporter of special olympics and down syndrome support groups. She traveled extensively overseas, as she followed her husband in his 20 year military career. Doris was dearly loved by many people and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday at Heath Funeral Home. The celebration of her life will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, at Heath Colonial Chapel with L.R. Smith officiating.
