Nellie Earline Duke, age 87, of Jonesboro, formerly of Paragould, died Wednesday, May 14, at Craighead Nursing Center. Earline was a sales representative for over 35 years for Southwestern Bell Telephone and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was born October 15, 1920 in Alexander, Arkansas the daughter of the late W.T. "Bill" and Polly (McBride) Gaskill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dayton Duke. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Beverly & Tom Cormany of Cordova, Tennessee; son and daughter-in-law: Bill & Carolyn Duke of Jonesboro; grandchildren: Corie Goodman of Paragould, Candi Scott of Austin, Texas, Ellen Duke of Jonesboro, Leigh Cormany, Lauren Cormany, both of Cordova, Tennessee, Joe Duke of Jonesboro and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM Saturday at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at a graveside service at Linwood Cemetery at 11:00 AM Saturday, with the procession leaving the funeral home at 10:45.
