Monia Arizona Weaver VanDon, 92, of Paragould passed from this life into the presence of her Lord on Wednesday, April 30, 2008. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. VanDon was born March 2, 1916 in Larado, Arkansas, the daughter of Johnny Perkins and Martha Jeanetta Williams Weaver. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tilford VanDon; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Willis DeWayne VanDon, Elbert and Ethel VanDon; one grandson, Kevin VanDon; four brothers: Floyd Weaver, Oras Weaver, Woodrow Weaver, and Roy Weaver; one sister, Opal Crabtree; and special sister-in-law, Evie Mae VanDon. Mrs. VanDon is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Don Andrews; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Patricia VanDon and Freddy and Angelena VanDon; twelve grandchildren: Travis VanDon, Lena Quail, Stacey VanDon, Olivia Parks, Darlene Frost, Brad Andrews, Chad VanDon, Gina Bayird, Nash VanDon, Savannah Swindle, Joshua VanDon, and Gracen VanDon; six great-grandchildren: Isaiah VanDon, Justin Quail, Laci Frost, Tera Jane Williams, London Bayird, Spencer Bayird, Isaac Swindle, and Abigail Swindle; three great-great grandchildren: Micha Arizona Walker, Ethan VanDon, and Madeline VanDon; and by one brother, J. P. Weaver. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday at the Heath Colonial Chapel with Reverend Winford Walters and Johnny Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Home Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm, Friday at Heath Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Carl Crabtree, Glen Crabtree, James Weaver, Kevin Bayird, Jerome Weaver, and Butch Whelchel. Honorary Pallbearers: B. J. Weaver and Michael Frost. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Heaven is sweeter because Monia is home.
