Minnie Wynona Blanchard, 93, of Ellington, Missouri, formerly of Jonesboro, Arkansas, the daughter of John and Hattie Burns, died peacefully at her home Saturday, January 9, 2021.
She was not just a mother to her ten children but a mother to all. She held nothing against anyone. She gave kindness to all as she did her own family. There was no one who met her who didn't love her.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, five sisters, one daughter, Hazel Louise, one grandson, and one son-in-law.
She is survived by three sons, Curtis (Linda) Blanchard, Earl (Sharon) Blanchard and Louis (Colleen) Blanchard; six daughters, Jean (Butch) Leis, Pat Easter, Marie (Richard) Dement, Rose Blanchard, Laura Crase, and Gevie (Gary) Webb; three brothers, Bobby Burns, Billy Burns, and Don Carmen; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at Heath Funeral Home with Richard Dement and Louis Blanchard officiating. Burial will follow at New Friendship cemetery. Curtis and Earl Blanchard will be doing the opening and closing prayer. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
