Minnie Ruth Brewer, 80, Paragould, passed away Saturday in Jonesboro. She was a member of the Grace United General Baptist Church. She was a retired cook with the Paragould School District and a regular patron of the Round-Up in Brookland. Minnie was the daughter of the late Dick and Mattie Kersey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Verlon Brewer; daughter, Theresa Baldwin; brothers, Orville and James Kersey; and sister, Emma Pitcher.
She is survived by her sons, Art Namors, Bob Namors, and James Reeks, all of Paragould; sister, Rosetta Gray of Paragould; brothers, Melvin Kersey and Ray Kersey, both of Paragould; grandchildren, Bryce Reeks, Erin Reeks, Charidy Turley, Chandra Word, Charell Roe, Randi Reaves, Corey Namors, Brittany Baldwin-Vonderhaar, Justin Baldwin, and Nick Baldwin; and great grandchildren, Skyler McFarland, London Word, Cade Word, Raney Turley, Gavin Turley, Carson Turley, Lucas Roe, Silas Roe, Audrey Reaves, and Dailigh Reaves.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 10 AM Tuesday at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Royce Schanda officiating. Burial is in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are London Word, Cade Word, Bryce Reeks, Corey Namors, Skyler McFarland, and Lance Liddell. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
