Minnie I. Rowland

Minnie I. Rowland, 88, of Paragould passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Minnie was a retired homemaker and a housekeeper at AMMC, where she worked for over twenty years. Minnie married Ones on April 18, 1942 in Greene County, Arkansas. She and Ones owned and operated Rowland's Grocery for many years. Minnie was a member of Walcott Baptist Church, where she also had a very loving family. Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Vell (Taylor) Shipley, husband, Ones E. Rowland, son, Ronnie Rowland, sisters, Carrie Rowland, Verna Lentz, Mable Garner, brothers, David Clinnie and Earl Shipley. Survivors include brother: Tom Shipley; son and daughter in law: Donnie and Judy Rowland of Stanford; daughters and son in law: Kathy Foresythe of Las Vegas, NV, Joan Jones of Walnut Ridge and June and Jim Shultz of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren: Darren, Sean, Gregory, Angela, Todd, Matthew, Laura, David, Christy, Joshua, Rusty and Jamie, twenty two great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 PM at Heath Funeral Home. The celebration of her life will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Heath Colonial Chapel with Reverend Marion F.
