Mildred "Christeen" Edgin

August 27, 1927 — November 8, 2018

Mildred "Christeen" Edgin, 91, was born in Leachville, Arkansas on August 27, 1927. Her parents were Lon Galyean and Maggie Galyean Williams. She married Barton Edgin on August 6, 1946. Her interests included family, church, cooking/baking, and gardening. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members and friends. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Barton Edgin; children, Sherry Edgin, Lanny Edgin, and Mary Ann Taborsky; ten siblings, which include six sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include daughter-in-law, Conny Edgin; daughter, Sandra McGowan; grandchildren, Stacy (John) Redden, Steven (Tina) Edgin, Craig (Renee) Dortch, Lance (Kelly) Dortch, Alicia Taborsky, David Taborsky, and Daniel Taborsky; twelve great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Saturday from 5:00-7:00 pm at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service is Sunday at the funeral home at 2:00 pm with Dr. Marc Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Leachville Cemetery. Pallbearers include Steven Edgin, Craig Dortch, Lance Dortch, Zachary Dacus, John Redden and Adam Redden. Honorary pallbearer is Melvin Watson.
