Merritt Edward Jackson

Merritt Edward Jackson, 77, of Paragould, died Friday, September 20, 2013 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born to the late John Henry and Viola Irene Jackson, May 26, 1936, in Halliday, Arkansas. Mr. Jackson was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Jackson and Wilburn Jackson and one sister, Ruby Sneed. He is survived by his wife: Dorothy Jackson, of the home; four children: Terry Jackson of Corning, Donna Briney of Corning, Sherry Ricker of Paragould and Christy Scheffler of Corning; ten grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, three great grandchildren; three brothers: Willis Jackson of Florence, South Carolina, Bob Jackson of Davison, Michigan, Randall Jackson of Corning; one sister: Opal Reagan of Rector; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at Heath Fuenral Home. His celebration of life will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, at Heath Colonial Chapel.
