Memory Tangcay

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Memory Tangcay, who departed this life peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025, in Paragould. Memory, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, was born in the Marshall Islands to the late Albos and Rijen Matauto, embracing a vibrant tapestry of life that has left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Memory dedicated her career to serving others as a housekeeper at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital, where her warm smile and unwavering kindness touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues in the hospitality industry. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church, where she found community and purpose. Her commitment to her faith was only matched by her devotion to her family, which included her cherished spouse, Marton Boene; children, Judyann Matauto, Ranley Matauto, Ethan Matauto, Mark Anthony Tangcay, Meritha Note, and Grace Tangcay; and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Alson Matauto and Radley Matauto, and her sisters, Neikajok Matauto and Lilly Matauto, all of whom will carry her memory forever in their hearts. Memory was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Langchel and Johniton Matauto.

Friends and family will gather to honor her vibrant spirit, share stories, and remember the joyous moments that defined her life. Memory was known for her love of karaoke, often bringing joy to those around her by singing at every opportunity and dancing with unrestrained happiness. Her infectious spirit and passion for life will be celebrated through music and remembrance.

A visitation will be Friday, March 14, 2025, beginning at 2 PM and end on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 10 AM at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral will begin on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. In the spirit of her joyful essence, we encourage attendees to bring their voices and share in the music and love that defined her life.

Memory has gone on to meet her Creator, but the love she shared and the light she brought into the world will continue to resonate through the lives of her loved ones. May she rest in eternal peace.
