Melonie Lynn Smelser, 49, of Paragould died Thursday at her residence. She was a Professional Tax Preparer. Melonie was preceded in death by one son, Cody; her father and mother Earnest and Ettar Carol Smith; and brothers: Leon, Elbert, Wesley and Odell Smith. Survivors include her husband, Rick Smelser of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Nate Pohl of Brookland and Meagan and Everett Lane of Paragould; brothers and sister-in-law, Dewayne and Joyce Smith of Paragould, and Kevin Smith of Carmel, Indiana ; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Joy and Bill Ressler of Carmel, Indiana, Judy and Rod Dennis, Shela and Jim Weesner all of Jonesboro, Indiana, and Wanda Thompson of Sommerset, Kentucky; and one grandson, Cody Pohl. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Heath Funeral Home; Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Heath Colonial Chapel with Dr. Rod Dennis officiating.
