Melba Joan Randles, a beloved wife and mother, passed from this life on March 12, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born on April 17, 1945, in Lafe, to the late Maynard and Matty Lee Mobley, and she went on to graduate from Lafe High School in 1963. Melba was known for her warm and welcoming nature, always greeting others with a smile.
Throughout her life, Melba found joy in simple pleasures, such as playing card and board games like Hand & Foot, Yahtzee, and Farkle. Melba was an active member of West View Baptist Church, serving as a door greeter and sunday school teacher for many years. Melba also participated in the Sr. Bee's group.
Melba's love for the Word of God was evident to all who knew her, as she found solace and joy in reading and sharing scripture with others. On July 21, 1978, Melba married her beloved husband, Owen Randles, and together they shared a life filled with love and laughter.
Melba is survived by her husband of 45 years, Owen; daughter, Crystal (David) Dennison of Paragould; grandsons, Austin Gentle of Colorado and Alex Gentle of Jonesboro; brother, Conrad (Brenda) Mobley of Jonesboro; nephews, Doyne Gonser and Terry Gonser, both of Paragould; and nieces, Daronda (Bill) Alkire of Benton, Kayla Mobley of Jonesboro, and Susan (Richard) Porter of Conway.
