Melba Jean Kellim, 89, of Montgomery, Texas passed away Monday, January 28, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Arvil and Elsie Hankins and wife of the late Jim Butts. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Hoxie, Arkansas . Melba taught 35 years at Hoxie and Delaplaine Schools. She retired in 1985. She loved her family. She is also preceded in death by four brothers, Dennis Hankins, Clinton Hankins, Bobby Hankins and Avril Hankins Jr. (Sonny) and three sisters, Clara Hankins, Verda (Joann) Hankins White and Mavis Hankins Cook.
Survivors include her son, Tommy Kellim, of Montgomery, Texas; two granddaughters, Shannon Kellim Young ,of Eugene, Oregon and Kayce Kellim Kieschnick, of College Station, Texas; three great grand children, Addison, Cannon, and Callen Kieschnick, also of College Station, Texas; and one sister, Phillis Hankins Tribble, of Pocahontas, Arkansas
Visitation will be Friday, February 1, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Heath Funeral Home, 321 West Garland Street, Paragould, Arkansas. Funeral service is at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Heath Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Combs Officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould. Pallbearers will be Tory Hicks, Robert Denison, J.L. Wright, Mike Wright, Phil Kissee, and Steve Jones. Honorary Pallbearers will be Clinton Hankins Jr., Larry Tribble, and Burl Lawson.
