Maxine Hinson, 88, of Paragould , passed away Saturday at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church in Jonesboro. She retired from Methodist Hospital in Jonesboro, where she worked in accounting. Maxine enjoyed gardening, bird watching, painting and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Hinson; parents, Thomas Jefferson and Hattie Byrn Stephens; one son, Stephen Hinson; two brothers, Elmo Stephens, and Clifford Stephens; six sisters, Evelyn Lackey, Joy Davis, Pearl Howell, Billie Shook, Joan Roush, and Kay Stephens.
Maxine is survived by her daughter Connie (JR) Gore of Paragould;one grandson, Jimmy Gore of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Kristen Mansfield of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; one great granddaughter, Kinlee Mansfield; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 5th from 6-8 pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday, March 6th at 2:30 pm at Heath Funeral Home with Jerry Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Monette Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Mike Hinson, Tommy Lackey, Brian Mansfield, Jimmy Gore, Morris Watkins and Bill Stacy.
