Mary Ruth Smelser

Mary Ruth Smelser, 80, of Paragould died Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould. She was a homemaker and of Nazarine faith. She was born November 21, 1927, the daughter of the late James Ernest Smelser and Ella Mae (Dickerson) Smelser. She is also preceded by three brothers: Bruce, Bert and Thomas Smelser; and five sisters: Eula Ford, Erie Green, Zuline Corner, Marie McGarraugh and Faye Partlow. Surviving are one brother, Willie J. Smelser and one sister, Maxine Martin of Paragould The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, April 26, 2008, followed by funeral services at the Heath Colonial Chapel at 2:00 PM with Reverend Bob Lee and Reverend Eddie Gene Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould. Pallbearers will be Ken Hoppe, Shaun Smelser, Ryan Robeson, Cal Newsom and Dennis Smelser.
