Mary Edith Miner, 75 of Paragould died Sunday at her home. Mary was retired from Arkansas Methodist Medical Center and was a member of Newton Street Church Of Christ. She was born September 30, 1933 in Brinkley the daughter of the late Joe and Barbara Slayton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Miner; brother, Robert Lee Slayton; and sister, Barbara King. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law: Debra and Jimmy Vassar of Paragould, Donna and Gene Winters of Weiner, Shawnie and Danny Simpson of Michigan City, Indiana; son and daughter-in-law: Jacky and Sharon Miner of Paragould; three sisters: Elizabeth Bradford of Paducah, Kentucky; Sally Powers of West Memphis, Lula Vaughn Taylor of Hardy; Four Brothers: Billy Don Slayton, Danny Slayton, of Hardy, David Slayton of Flint, Michigan, Richard Slayton of Pocahontas; eight grandchildren and three geat-grandchildren. The family will recieve friends at Heath Funeral Home, Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM. Her life will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Heath Colonial Chapel with L.R. Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bobby Strahan, Steven Winters, Steven Stoll, Brett Smith, Alan Slayton, and Lenny Duncan. The gentleman of Newton Street Church of Christ will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be sent to Newton Street Church of Christ or Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Foundation.
