Marsha Day Freeman, 81, of Paragould, celebrated her Heavenly homecoming on March 30, 2023. She was born in Marmaduke on November 7, 1941, to the late J.D. and Berniece Day. Marsha graduated from Marmaduke High School in 1959. She married the love of her life, Glen, on August 1, 1959. She and Glen owned Freeman's Grocery in Marmaduke from 1973-1985. She enjoyed crafting and painting. Marsha had beautiful handwriting, and she was known for her calligraphy. Her family considered her a perfectionist whether she was writing or cleaning house. Marsha also showed that level of dedication with her love for the Lord. She shared the love of Christ with her family and others, and she was a prayer warrior for many throughout the years. She was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church Paragould Campus. Marsha was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Theresa Day, Verna Jean Williams, and Pamelia McIntosh.
Marsha is survived by her husband of 63 years, Arthur Glen Freeman; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Breck and Jackie Freeman of Paragould; daughter and son-in-law, Bridget and Scott Barton of Ormond Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Seth (Chelsea) Freeman of Memphis, Jonathan (Sarah) Freeman of Jonesboro, Sarah Freeman (fiancé, Dylan Summerville) of Benton, Zachary (Darci) Barton of Orlando, Florida, and Adam (Sydnee) Freeman of Kansas City, Kansas; and great grandchildren, Sawyer Freeman and Jack Freeman.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 5-8 PM at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral is Monday, April 3rd at 2:30 PM at Marmaduke First Baptist Church. A visitation will precede the funeral from 1:30-2:30 PM. Marsha's grandchildren will officiate the service. Burial is in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers are Raymond French, Bill Lewis, Mardon Layne, John Wilcox, Dr. Blake Ligon, and Rev. Chuck Owens.
