Marcus Creel, 81, of Light, passed away on Saturday at AMMC. He was a Baptist and retired from the maintenance department at Monroe. Marcus was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was the son of the late Mack and Flossie Tedder and Morris Creel. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Kay Creel; daughter, Lana Creel; brothers, Jerry Wayne Tedder, Bill Tedder, and M.C. Tedder; and sister, Shirley McCord.
Survivors include his son, Murl Creel of Newport; daughter, Jean Creel of Light; brothers, Jim Tedder of Light, Eggie Tedder of Walnut Ridge, and Bob Tedder of Mountain Home; sisters, Shelby Faulkner, Yevonne Mangrum, Lurline Hambrick, and Brenda Cannon all of Paragould, Linda Yocum of Jonesboro, and Linda McCauley and Debbie Bromberg of St. Louis; grandchildren, Jessica (Adam) Taylor of Stanford and Melanie (Basil) Burge of Lafe; great grandchildren, Landon Taylor, Jaxon Gramling, and Addison Burge; and many other family and friends.
Visitation is Wednesday evening from 5-7pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral is Thursday at 10am at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Royce Boling officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Burt Cannon, Mark Tedder, John "PeeWee" Hambrick, Bobby "Hoot" Tedder, Steve Miller, Skip Dulaney, Gary Don Wise, and Greg Wise.
