Mamie Ellen Reed

Mamie Ellen Reed, age 81, of Paragould, died Monday, May 12, at her home. Reed was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was born November 6, 1926 in Henderson, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Phillip and Effie Beswick. She is survived by her husband Harold Reed of the home; daughters and son-in-law: Patricia Barker of Paragould, Lisa and John Abanathy of Beech Grove; sons and daughter-in-law: Tony and Kim Batey of Maumelle, Mark Reed of Vail, Colorado; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday. Her life will be celebrated at Heath Colonial Chapel at 1:30 PM Wednesday, Reverend Gerald James and Dr. Jeff Beshears officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Marty Reed, Jerrod Barker, Eric Barker, Evan Abanathy and Ryan Abanathy. Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church.
