Maggie Isabelle Russell

March 8, 2012 — February 22, 2025

Maggie Isabelle Russell, lovingly known as "Mags," brightened the lives of all who knew her from March 8, 2012, until her passing on February 22, 2025. The hardest goodbye has come to pass for Cody and Tracey, her devoted parents, and her beloved sister, Lexi, and fur sister, Sadie Mae. Mags was not just a pet; she was the heart of their family, leaving paw prints on every heart she touched.

Known for her diva tendencies, Mags had an affinity for cozy sweaters and snug hoodies that showcased her unique personality. She had an unparalleled love for napping, mastering the art of turning any spot into the perfect cozy nest—whether it be a warm lap or a sunny patch on the floor. As the quintessential snuggle bug, her warmth was a source of comfort and joy for those fortunate enough to share their space with her.

A true foodie at heart, Mags was affectionately dubbed “tiger shark” due to her enthusiastic approach to treats and meals. Her family always had to make sure she snatched the treat instead of the finger delivering the snack. Her delightful persistence and endearing begging skills made it nearly impossible for anyone to resist sharing their food with her, and she embraced every morsel she received with gusto. With her wagging tail and sweet barks, she welcomed her family home, her presence a daily reminder of unconditional love and joy.

Mags’ bond with her little fur sister, Sadie Mae, was a beautiful testament to friendship. Joined at the tender age of three, the two shared countless adventures, often found together wrapped up in a shared blanket, embodying the true essence of sisterly love. Their “sister fights” will forever be missed, evoking laughter and warmth in memories now cherished.

Travel was a highlight of Mags’ life, and she embraced every journey with enthusiasm. Whether she was basking in the sandy beaches or enjoying the wind on her face during boat rides at the lake, she was a well-traveled girl, ever eager for new adventures by her family’s side. Those special moments spent at the beach, napping with the breeze gently caressing her, are treasured memories that will remain in the hearts of her family forever.

To everyone who crossed paths with this precious little girl, Mags was a true gem—affectionately referred to as “bitty bit” for her petite size. Her charming spirit and loving nature made her a baby in the eyes of many, captivating hearts wherever she went.

Though Mags may no longer be by their side, her family—Cody, Tracey, Lexi, Sadie Mae, and her furry cousin Percy James—holds her memory dearly. The love they shared for her throughout her life will forever echo in their hearts, and they will miss her endlessly. Mags will remain an irreplaceable presence in their lives, a shining star that will continue to watch over them with her sweet spirit.
