L.V. "Dobe" Jones, 92, of Paragould, died Friday at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was a faithful member of the Walcott Church of Christ. He was a retired tool and die maker at Emerson Electric, and he served during World War II. Dobe was the son of the late J.E. and Maggie Jones. He was also preceded in death by a son, Joe V. Jones. Dobe is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mildred Jones, of the home; daughter, Margaret Davenport, Walcott; granddaughter, Carol Ann Davenport Bradshaw (Danny), Holcomb, MO; great grandsons, Dylan and Stephen Bradshaw, both of Holcomb; daughter-in-law, Jean C. Jones, Walcott; and special nephew, Fred Adams, Sr., Walcott. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:30-8pm at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday at 10am with Rev. Sam Becerra and Darrell Austin officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers are Eddie Anderson, Fred Adams, Sr., Jake Sipes, Larry Ford, Rusty Horton, Roger Jones, Dylan Bradshaw, and Stephen Bradshaw. Honorary Pallbearers are the Wednesday Morning Shop Club. The family requests memorials be sent to the Children's Home of Paragould or do a random act of kindness for someone.
