Lurline Hambrick

Lurline Hambrick, 67, of Paragould passed away on Saturday, July 22 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro. Lurline was born March 28, 1956 in Paragould to the late Mack and Flossie Greer Tedder. Lurline graduated from Stanford High School in 1974. She attended college at Arkansas State University where she played basketball for two years. She worked at Monroe for 30 years. She was currently working part-time as a caregiver at Elite Senior Care in Paragould, where she treated her clients as family. She was a faithful member of Faith Fellowship Community Church in Paragould.

Lurline loved sports, and she spent many years umpiring softball and refereeing basketball and volleyball games. She especially loved working with children and youth, teaching them the rules while she was on the court or field. She loved watching her grandchildren play softball and baseball. She also had a very big heart and was always willing to help her family and friends.

Lurline is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, John Hambrick Jr.; son, John Hambrick III (Jessica) of Paragould; five grandchildren of Paragould, Chadastyn and Caleb Hambrick, Kayleigh, Bree, and Cason Runyon; four sisters, Shelby (Joe) Faulkner of Paragould, Yevonne Mangrum of Paragould, Linda Yocum of Jonesboro, and Brenda (Burt) Cannon of Jonesboro; two brothers, Jim (Earline) Tedder of Light and Bob (Valine) Tedder of Mountain Home; and many loved nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Lurline is preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Flossie Tedder, and six siblings, M.C. Tedder, Bill Tedder, Mark Creel, Shirley McCord, Edward (Eggie) Tedder, and Jerry Tedder.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Thursday, July 27th at 6 p.m. at Faith Fellowship Community Church, 1004 South Rockingchair Road in Paragould with Kevin Edgar officiating. The family will receive friends following the service..
