Lucille Martha Lena Tritch-Brasher

Lucille Martha Lena (Tritch) Brasher, daughter of Arthur & Emma Tritch, who was born in Lafe AR on July 12, 1932, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Wednesday January 27, at 3:05 PM at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro AR.

As a child, “mom” Lucille would tell us kids many wonderfully detailed stories of her childhood that were so beautiful and vivid they sounded like magical fairytales to us. She was raised along with 10 other siblings by two incredibly loving parents on a farm in northeast Arkansas. As a child, she and the others were taught very important and sometimes hard life lessons that established an unwavering moral compass, that would end up guiding every decision she made throughout the rest of her life. She attended parochial school at St. John’s Lutheran School at Lafe AR and completed her education at the local public high school in Lafe. At the age of 19, Lucille married her long-time friend and sweetheart, Robert Allen Brasher Jr. on December 30, 1951. Lucille and Jr.’s collective love for family and for each other inspired them to start a large family of their own, successfully raising 7 children, which then grew to 14 grandchildren, and on to 20 great grandchildren and still counting.

If mankind’s value was measured by the amount of love that one has for their neighbor, mom would be counted alongside the highest royalty in the land. She was the type of person who led by example, and without hesitation clung to God’s word and walked the narrow path fearlessly throughout her life. She clearly understood the true meaning of “Love thy neighbor as thyself” and graciously accepted that responsibility. Whether you were part of her family or just someone who was lucky enough to have met her, you knew emphatically that she was a genuinely kind and gentle soul of whom you could trust with anything.

While we will definitely mourn our loss, know that we will also be rejoicing in her victory and look forward to celebrating

Funeral Services for Lucille Brasher will be held Sunday, January 31, 2021. We are taking precautionary efforts to ensure everyone’s safety during this time. We ask that all who attend, to do your part, follow CDC guidelines, wear mask when inside the sanctuary, and respect people’s personal space by keeping safe distance at all times.
