Lowanda Cole

Lowanda Mae "Wanda" Cole, aged 90, of Paragould, Arkansas, peacefully departed this life on February 7, 2025. She was born on August 13, 1934, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and lived a fulfilling life as a devoted homemaker, cherishing her role in nurturing her family and friends.

Wanda had a profound love for conversation, frequently finding joy in connecting with others over the phone. She was known for her warm spirit and welcoming nature, which endeared her to everyone she encountered. Her passion for community was matched only by her love for watching television, especially enjoying the uplifting messages of various television preachers. In her younger days, she found solace by the water, often going fishing on the St. Francis River, a pastime that brought her great happiness.

Wanda is survived by her beloved siblings: Betty Laird, Shirley Kendall, Sue Tolley, Gaylon Sidenstricker, Dale Sidenstricker, and Allen Sidenstricker, numerous grandchildren, great grand children, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her family will hold her memory close as they reflect on the life she shared with them.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cole; father, Ralph Sidenstricker; mother, Nellie Camp; children: Donnie Shatley, Darrell Shatley, Lenae Vanhorn, Renee Goodman; and brother, Gene Sidenstricker.

A graveside service in honor of Lowanda Mae Cole will take place on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Shiloh Cemetery. Bro. Duane Dutka will be officiating. Family and friends are invited to join in commemorating her life and reflecting on the cherished memories they hold. She will be laid to rest with the love and respect she so rightly deserves.

Wanda will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the countless conversations shared. She touched many lives and her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved her.
