Lorene Sylvania Hatcher

Lorene Sylvania Hatcher, age 93, of Paragould, died Saturday, September 19, 2009, at Greene Acres Nursing Home. She was born December 14, 1915 the daughter of the late C.O. and Rosa Hathcock Webb. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, John Houston, son, Charles Houston, brother, Fred Webb, sisters, Mildred Webb and Willa Mae Webb McKeel. She was a retired school teacher from Marmaduke Schools and a member of the Center Hill Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband: Leon Hatcher, of the home; daughter-in-law: Gayle Houston; grandson and granddaughter-in-law: Johnny and Teresa Houston; granddaughter: Kym Downs; great grandsons: Drake and Drew Downs, Jacob Houston; great granddaughter: Kathryn Houston, all of Paragould; one niece and one nephew. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at Heath Colonial Chapel, 10:00 AM, Monday with Jon Binkley and Michael Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery in Marmaduke. Memorials may be sent to the Children's Home of Paragould, 5515 Old Walcott Road, Paragould, AR 72450.
