Leo Edward Boyd

Leo Edward Boyd went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 18, 2011. He was born on May 21, 1916, to the late Joseph and Mary Boyd. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Evelyn Boyd, daughter Freda Boyd, grandson, Jason Boyd, four brothers and four sisters. Leo was a charter member of West View Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School director for 25 years and trustee for 44 years. He retired from Riggs Wholesale. Survivors include children Jim Boyd (Diane) of Cullman, AL, Joy Cunningham (Jim) of Newark, AR, Harold Boyd (Sandi), Diane Acuff (Jay) and Kendall Boyd all of Paragould. 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at West View Baptist Church with Rev. Marc Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in New Friendship Cemetery. Pallbears are Tim Cunningham, Mark Cunningham, Tony Boyd, Todd Boyd, Joel Boyd and Brent Boyd. Honorary Pallbearers are Charlie Bedsole, Mark Walton, Paul Ford, Jody Acuff, Benny Moss, Brandon McNeil and Larry Allison.
