Laura Gage

Laura Lee Gage, 56, of Paragould, passed from this life peacefully on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at her home. She was born in Paragould on December 13, 1966, to the late Wayne Southard and the late Pat Buchanan. Laura married the love of her life, Donnie, on October 2, 1982. She was employed at Sunshine Manor for over 30 years. Those who knew Laura knew she loved big. She found the "good" in everyone. It didn't matter if you were rich or poor, Laura loved you. Most of all, she loved God and her family. She loved to share God's Word with others. Laura was proud of her family, and she enjoyed sharing stories about them. She would often find laughter as she told family stories. Her smile and laughter will never fade to those who knew her. Laura was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Curtis and Jewel Gage; sister-in-law, Linda Gage; and brothers-in-law, Paul and David Gage.

Laura is survived by her loving husband of almost 41 years, Donnie; three sons, Donnie Lee (Alicia) Gage of North Carolina, Nick Gage of Paragould, and Josh Gage of Paragould; grandchildren, Ella and Evan Gage of North Carolina; sister, Kellie (Matt) Hoots of Jefferson City, Missouri; brothers, Patrick Southard and Brian (Kelly) Southard of Paragould; brother-in-law, Jeff (Dena) Gage of Paragould; sisters-in-law, Sherry Clark (fiance, Michael Brannum) of Paragould and Karen Gage of Huntsville, Alabama; best friend, Lana Edwards; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 5-7 PM at Heath Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date.
