Landon Russell Hunt

Landon Russell Hunt, 18, of Paragould, passed from this life on Sunday, July 2, 2023. He was born on April 2, 2005, in Kennett to Russell and Alicia Hunt. Landon graduated from Greene County Tech High School in May. He became a member of Union I.B.E.W. 1516 and was employed by Cache Valley Electric. Landon was one of a kind and always knew how to put a smile on everyone's face. Like his dad, he was adventurous and could often be found riding a side-by-side or dirt bike, floating the river, camping, hunting, and fishing. He loved baseball. The Cardinals were his team, and he would argue with his mom, a Braves fan, over which team was better. Landon had an inseparable relationship with his sister who was only fourteen months younger. While all of these describe Landon, it should also be known that he was a child of God. Landon gave his life to Jesus and was baptized on Easter Sunday in 2019. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Karen Jones.

Landon is survived by his parents, Russell and Alicia Hunt of Paragould; sister, Emma Hunt; paternal grandmother, Lisa Hunt of Paragould; paternal grandfather, Russell Hunt, Sr. of Paragould; maternal grandparents, Keith and Lynette White of Marmaduke; great grandmothers, Alma White of Marmaduke and Thelma Henson of Marmaduke; uncles, Keith (Amy Kary) White of Brookland and Ross Hunt of Paragould; aunt, Heather Hunt of Paragould; and numerous cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 7, 2023, from 5-8 at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral is Saturday at 10 AM at Marmaduke First Baptist Church with Revs. Elmer Ash and Mike Rounton officiating. Burial is in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jacob Allinson, Paxton Brown, Ross Steele, Camden Hart, Luke Shinkaruk, and Clay Holland. Honorary pallbearers are Lane England, Michael Traywick, and Matt Akins.
