Lana Creel, 52, of Light, passed away Wednesday at her home. She worked at Darling Store Fixtures for over 30 years and was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church. She loved attending all ballgames, especially those involving her nieces and nephews. Lana was the daughter of Marcus Creel and the late Kay Creel.
Lana is survived by her father; sister, Jean Creel of Light; brother, Murl Creel of Tuckerman; nieces, Jessica (Adam) Taylor of Stanford and Melanie (Basil) Burge of Lafe; great niece, Addison Burge; great nephews, Landon Taylor and Jaxon Gramling; honorary family, Chase and Addison McCreless; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-8 at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral will begin Sunday at 2 pm at Brown's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Boling officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers are Darrell McCreless, Skip Dulaney, Gary Don Wise, Chase McCreless, Kevin Whitt, Mark Tedder, John Dulaney, and Bruce Hunt. In lieu of flowers, send memorials to Brown's Chapel Baptist Church.
