L. C. Ussery, 85, Paragould, died Sunday, February 13, 2011, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. He was born April 6, 1925 in Greene County the son of the late Steve and Letter Ussery. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Velma and three brothers. L.C. was a retired plumber, Protestant and served his country in the Army during WWII. Survivors include: Nola Ussery, of the home; son and daughter-in-law: J.C. and Sherma Ussery of Paragould; step-daughter and step-son-in-law: Martha Deborah & David Kelm of North Little Rock; granddaughter and grandson-in-law: Autumn and Scott Sanson of Villonia; grandson and granddaughter-in-law: Snapper and Sarah Ussery of Springfield; step granddaughter and grandson-in-law: Shannon and Matt Ford of Locust Grove, Georgia; five grandchildren: Ridge, Jett, and Sage Sanson, Maggie and Molly Ford. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, at Heath Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at Shiloh Cemetery, 1:30 PM, Wednesday, for a graveside service with J.C. Ussery officiating. In place of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Children's Home of Paragould, 5515 Old Walcott Road, Paragould, AR 72450.
