With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kody Michael Taylor, a beloved husband, son, and dedicated Christian. Born on April 14, 1996, in Jonesboro, Kody embraced a life of faith and service, marked by a deep love for his family, his work, and his friends.

Devoted to his spiritual journey, Kody was known for his unwavering dedication to studying and following the teachings of the Bible. A man of God, he found solace and strength in his daily readings, seeking wisdom and guidance to lead a righteous life. His faith was a cornerstone of his being, shaping his actions and interactions with others.

As a carpenter at J & J Construction, Kody poured his passion and skills into his work, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and dedication. He took pride in his abilities, creating tangible, lasting contributions to the world around him through his labor and expertise.

Beyond his profession, Kody's true joy came from the time spent with loved ones. He cherished moments with his wife and playing with children, whether they be his own or his nieces and nephews, radiating with warmth and laughter in their presence. His affectionate spirit and genuine care for others shone brightly in every interaction.

Kody is survived by his loving spouse, Katelyn Taylor; children, Easton Michael, Brailee Marie, Blakeleigh Alanna, and Denver Jon; parents; Michael and Sherry Taylor; siblings, Brandi (Kahlon) Mays, Jenna Shearer, Dr. Zackary (Taylor) Shearer, Travis (Jerin) Shearer, Zachary (Carrie) Taylor, and twin sister, Katy Michael (Matt) McDaniel; grandfather, Wilburn Darrell Taylor; grandmother, Jenny Garner; fifteen nephews and nieces; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Their profound loss is shared by all who were touched by Kody's kindness, his spirit, and his unwavering devotion to the Lord. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Luther "Luke" Sullinger, and grandmother, Anna Kathryn Taylor.

A visitation will be Monday, September 16, 2024, from 11am until 1 pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 pm with Pastors Kevin Edgar and Todd Childers officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Dr. Zackary Shearer, Travis Shearer, Zachary Taylor, Matt McDaniel, Draven Shipp, Drew McDaniel, Zach Bland, and Mark Taylor. Honorary pallbearers are Cortney and employees of J & J Construction: Jason, Taylor, Seth, Eli, Terry, Brian, Whitman, and Terry. In honor of Kody, please send memorials to New Hope Refuge, 10 Bell Grove Rd, Batesville, AR 72501.

As we bid farewell to his physical form, may Kody's spirit continue to inspire and guide us, a beacon of faith, love, and service. In his memory, may we strive to live as he did, with compassion, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to the values that he held dear. Rest in peace, Kody Michael Taylor.
