Kelly Shipman

January 6, 1964 — September 23, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kelly Lynne Shipman, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Kelly was born on January 6, 1964, in Paragould, to the late Jerry Huffstutler and Mary Alice Sims Ferrell. She passed from this life on September 23, 2024.

Having graduated from Paragould High School in 1982, Kelly pursued a career as a manager at Paragould Parks and Recreation, where she excelled in her role and made a positive impact on those she worked with. She married the love of her life, John Shipman, on April 21, 1990, and together they raised a beautiful family.

Kelly's devotion to her children - Adam, Alan, Andrew, and Anna - and her cherished granddaughter, Katherine, was unparalleled. She was actively involved in their lives, always supporting and loving them unconditionally. Her passion for painting, decorating, and enjoying peaceful days by the lake enjoying a cold can of Dr. Pepper brought her immense joy, reflecting her creative and vibrant spirit. Anyone that knew her knows she didn't go anywhere without a Dr. Pepper in her hand.

Kelly leaves behind her loving husband of 34 years, John; children, Adam (Katie) Shipman of Little Rock, Alan Weyer of Paragould, Andrew Shipman of Paragould, and Anna Shipman of Paragould; granddaughter, Katherine Baumann; mother, Mary Alice Ferrell; and father and mother-in-law, Judge Jerry & Linda (Hicks) Shipman. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Kelly is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Huffstutler, maternal grandparents, Ezra and Lora Sims; and paternal grandparents, Eugene and Lucille Huffstutler.

Kelly's legacy of warmth, empathy, and dedication to those she held dear will forever be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May we find solace in the memories we shared and the love she showered upon us, and may her spirit guide us through this difficult time and remind us of the beauty she brought into our lives. Kelly will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
