It is with deep sorrow and profound respect that we announce the passing of

Kathy Jeanette Gazaway, 76, of Paragould. Kathy passed from this life on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould. She was born on December 20, 1948, in Batesville, Arkansas, to the late Conway and Kathryn Clifft.


Kathy is survived by Jerry Gazaway of Jonesboro, who kept his promise; her son Jason Gazaway of Paragould (Lisa Gazaway of Fayetteville); daughter Kristin Gazaway of Jonesboro; granddaughters Drew Gazaway of Maumelle and Anna Lynn Gazaway of Savannah, Georgia; brother Rick (Denise) Clifft of Paragould; nephew Eric (Gabriela) Clifft and their child Sophia Clifft of Dripping Springs, Texas.


A beloved counselor, dedicated professional, and cherished friend, Kathy left this world with a legacy of compassion, service, and healing that touched the lives of countless individuals and families.


For over 40 years, Kathy served as a trusted counselor, offering unwavering support, guidance, and wisdom to those in need. With her kind heart, sharp intellect, and a gentle, listening ear, she helped hundreds of clients navigate the complexities of life, always with a commitment to improving emotional, mental, physical and spiritual well-being. Kathy's work extended far beyond her profession-she was a lifeline for so many, and the impact of her care will be felt for generations to come.


Highly respected and esteemed by her peers in the medical and counseling communities, Kathy was known for her professionalism, insight, and unwavering dedication to her clients' needs. She possessed a rare ability to instill hope in others, guiding them through their darkest moments and empowering them to live fuller, more balanced lives.


Kathy's clients, many of whom have since gone on to lead lives of strength and resilience, will forever remember her not only for her expertise but for the kindness and warmth she radiated in every interaction. Kathy was not just a counselor; she was a friend, a mentor, and a beacon of hope.


Kathy was a dedicated member of the Paragould Rotary Club from 1991 to 2011, serving as president from 2000 to 2001. Her commitment exemplified the Rotary motto, "Service Above Self"; and she made a lasting impact on the community through her leadership and volunteerism. She served five years on the board of Mission Outreach and as President from 2010-2011.


Kathy's family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing her mourn her loss, but also celebrate the extraordinary legacy she leaves behind. Her life's work is a testament to the power of compassion and the profound impact one person can have on the world.


A visitation will be held at Heath Funeral Home on Monday, February 10, from 11 AM to 1 PM, where we will gather to honor her memory, share stories, and express our gratitude for the immeasurable contributions she made to our lives.
