Kathleen Franks Biles, 76 of Paragould, died June 7, 2018, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born May 20, 1942, in Griffithville, AR. Her hometown was Searcy, AR.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Derwood Biles of the home; children Christine Biles Gramling (Bryan) of Paragould, Sharon Biles Harnett (Phil) of Roswell, Georgia.; twin sister, Alline Franks Weatherley (Gene) of Searcy, AR; sister, Susan (Bob) Pollard of Gulf Port, MS, Nine (Tom) Boston of Little Rock, AR
Kathleen was preceded in death by her son, DeWitt Clay Biles; parents Tommy Alma Hogue Franks and William Plase Franks of Searcy, AR; sister-in-law, Linda Biles Buck.
Survived also by Grandchildren, Max (Laura) Brown of Paragould, Christopher Gramling of Paragould, Austin (Kesha) Arnold of Oklahoma City, OK, Triton Arnold of Roswell, Georgia, Nathan Harnett of Roswell, Georgia, Brandon (Tiffany) Gramling of Paragould. She had 4 beautiful step-great grandchildren and was joyfully anticipating a great granddaughter in July and a great grandchild in January.
Nieces and nephews David Wyatt, Tammy Weatherley, Barbara Moore, Kim Bridgforth, Cathy Pollard, Ashley Murrell Hawkins, Doug Weatherly, Shelley Young, Clint Boston. Numerous Great Nieces and Nephews.
Also survived by her fun baby, Fancy, who she doted on.
Kathleen has an identical twin sister Alline who she shared many interests but both loved jigsaw puzzling and shopping together. She spent her married life living and traveling all over the world with her husband Derwood. She loved spending time at their lake home with her Lake family in Henderson, AR. She was an avid bowler and bunko enthusiast and traveled with and loved her “Bunko” ladies. She was an avid gardener and known as the plant doctor to her family.
She was a member of the Pruett’s Chapel United Methodist Church and loved volunteering, most recently at Mission Outreach of Paragould.
She was always a friend, confidant, and strong supporter to anyone who came into her life but especially to her family.
She was a breast cancer survivor and we ask that in lieu of plants, donations be made to Kathleen’s favorite charities, American Breast Cancer Society and the Mission Outreach of Paragould or Pruett’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be, Max Brown, Christopher Gramling, Austin Arnold, Doug Weatherley, David Wyatt, and Gene Weatherley. Honorary pallbearers, Bryan Gramling, Tom Boston, Triton Arnold, Phil Harnett.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 1:00-3:00 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemeter
