Karen L. Rowland

Karen L. Rowland, 63, Paragould, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born February 10, 1947 in Paragould the daughter of the late Osmer and Delphia Jones Hampton. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Phillip Bearden. Karen was a hairdresser and devoted member of Tenth Street Missionary Baptist Church. She was an avid Republican, loved being a grandmother and loved traveling and sightseeing, especially in Hawaii. She is survived by her husband: Darrel Rowland of the home: children: Kenny and Sharon Bearden of Paragould, Greg and Holly Bearden of Birmingham, AL, Kristy and Shawn Hager of Rector, Angie and Barry Burkheart of Paragould, Aaron and Myra Rowland of Keller, TX and Jared Rowland of Paragould; siblings: Rusty Hampton of Michigan, Gene and Bonna Hampton of Saint Louis, MO, Ann Vangilder of Paragould and Katie Smith of MI; fourteen grandchildren, one great grandchild and one grandchild on the way. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at Heath Colonial Chapel, 1:00 PM, Saturday, with Reverend Waymon Holt, Reverend Boyce Cate and Reverend Fred Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery.
