Kali Gahr passed on July 17, 2018 of old age. She was 18 years old. She is survived by her family, Robert (Dad) , Donna (Mom) and Conner Gahr (Brother) and pawsome fur Sister Precious Gahr, Kandice Gahr Powers (Sister), Brandon Powers (Brother-in-law), Aiden Powers (Nephew), Emily Powers (Niece), Dylan Powers (Nephew). We moved to Indiana in the Fall of 2000. We decided Conner needed a companion so we went to a local pet store and Conner chose this beautiful, fiesty lil calico kitten with the most intriguing green eyes. Or I should say it chose Conner. The only thing that was in her way was the cage door but that didn't stop her from sticking her little white paw through the door and batting Conner's face. Kali had the magical ability to chase a lazer pointer around for an hour then curl up and sleep for hours in your lap or on the sofa beside you when she was a kitten. Eventually, Kali became our "Psycho Kitty" that never liked to come out of the bedroom when people came in the house or when children were around. She would run, hide and stay in the bedroom for days on end if company was at home with us. Kali loved Christmas and hanging out under our Christmas tree. She loved laying on the Christmas tree skirt. Every Thanksgiving when we put up our tree, Kali would make her way to the Christmas tree skirt and lay on it as if it were her own personal bed. You could always find her under the tree anytime you would look for her. She was a beautiful calico, so finicky and would only let us pet her when she wanted it. The house just isn't the same without her and Precious misses her immensely. We know she is no longer in pain and happy chasing mice somewhere waiting on us at the rainbow bridge. We love you Kali.
