Judy Lynn Abbey

January 3, 1953 — May 7, 2017

Judith Lynn Abbey, 64 of Paragould died on Sunday at her residence. Judy was a retired Elementary School Teacher in the Paragould School System having taught at Baldwin Elementary for 23 years in the same room. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Gene Johnson; maternal grandparents, Wilson and Lucille Fox; paternal grandparents, Ira Earl and Thelma Johnson.

Survivors include her husband of 37 ½ years, Jim Abbey of the home; son, Chris Abbey of Brookland; daughter, Lithe Gaudreau of Deltona, Fl; mother, Peggy Johnson of Piggott; brother, Robert Earl Johnson of Piggott; and granddaughter, Fiona Rain Abbey of Brookland.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 PM at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 AM at Heath Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Archibald officiating. Pallbearers are Caroline Schenk, Kristie Ford, Brandi Newsom, Wendy Lowery, Tonya Hill, and Julie Holmes. Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Abbey and Tim Wicker. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Kidney Foundation.
