Joyce Lee Martin Harig, 79, of Paragould, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on November 2, 1933 in Manila, Arkansas to Dolpha and Clara Martin. Mrs. Harig was a retired real estate agent and broker, and worked as a volunteer and past president of the Arkansas Methodist Hospital Auxiliary. She was an active member of the Center Hill Church of Christ where she had many loving friends. She devoted her life to serving her family, friends, and community. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert G. Harig of Paragould; brothers, Phillip Martin of Paragould; Gary Martin of Cullman, Alabama; and a sister, Jackie Willie of Paragould. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Watson Cooper Farley and her husband, Bill of Steele, Missouri; her son, Craig Watson of Searcy, Arkansas; four stepsons and daughters-in-law, James and Cindy Harig of Labadie Missouri; Michael and Donna Harig of Olive Branch, Mississippi; Steve and Candy Harig of Calera, Alabama; and Thomas and Stella Harig of New Mexico; Two step-daughters, Lynda Dach and her husband Carl of Palm Desert, California; Lois Harig of Battle Creek, Michigan; Three brothers, Donnie Martin and his wife, Carole of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Larry Martin and his wife Johnnie of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; and Bruce Martin of Atoka, Tennessee; five grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with funeral services at 3:00 at Heath Funeral Home of Paragould with Brother David Deffenbaugh and Brother Tim Howard officiating. Burial will be at Linwood Cemetery. The family request that memorials be made to the Paragould Children’s Home or the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
