Joy Elizabeth Compton

Joy Elizabeth Compton, 99, of Paragould passed away Wednesday at The Green House Cottages of Belle Meade Nursing Home. She was born in Beech Grove, was retired from Arnold Palmer Industries, loved driving, and was a sports enthusiast. Joy was also a member of The 3rd Avenue Baptist Church of Paragould. Joy was the daughter of the late Millard F. and Effie Stallcup Cooper. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James M. Compton and daughter, Patsy Compton Gorsuch.

Survivors included her daughter, Nona Sue (Wayne) Hill of Paragould and son, James D. (Nancy) Compton of Delaplaine; grandchildren, Becky Whitner, Cindy (Terry) Coleman, Jane (Jeff) Bassham, Jeanne (David) Ryden, Nathan (Stefanie) Compton and Jerrod (Chadisty) Compton; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be Sunday from 12:30 - 2 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will start at 2:00 with Rev. Aaron Neugebauer officiating.
Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Grandsons and Grandsons-in-law will serve as Pallbearers.
