Jo Ann Wicker

Jo Ann Wicker, 75, of Paragould, died Monday, June 30, 2014, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born January 9, 1939, in Paragould, the daughter of the late Doyle and Eunice Walden Bailey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Woody Charles Wicker, daughter-in-law, Wendy Wicker and brother, Edmond Doyle Bailey. Jo Ann worked for Paragould School District for over 20 years and was a prominent member of New Friendship Baptist Church. Her family was her life. She is survived by her children: Cliff and Sandra Wicker, James Wicker, all of Morristown, TN, Candace and Larry Stricklin of Cedar Grove, TN, and Dawn and Ben Gonser of Paragould; siblings: Thomas and Sue Bailey, Mary and J.R. Breckenridge, all of Paragould, and Freddie Bailey of Crystal City, MO; grandchildren: Dagon Smith, Stacy Wicker, Jacey Lovelady, Nikita Nicholson, Isaac Stricklin, Aaron Stricklin, Brittani Wicker, Jordan Noe, Layne Gonser, Baylee Gonser and Rayleigh Gonser; great grandchildren: Carson and Addyson Lovelady and one expected; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at New Friendship Baptist Church, 10:00 AM, Thursday, with Reverend Ron Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow at New Friendship Cemetery.
