Jimmy Dale Hamilton

Jimmy Dale Hamilton Jr., 80 passed away Monday, July 15, 2013. He was born on December 21, 1932 in Sheridan, Arkansas to James Dale and Catherine Hamilton. Jimmy graduated from Paragould High School in 1951 and was on the State Championship Bulldogs Football Team. He attended University of Arkansas, was a Veteran of the United States Army and served as a medic in the Korean War. Jimmy Dale was an avid fisherman who loved catching bream and crappie as well as making his own lures. However, he was happiest when he put his family and friends at a "fishing hole" and watched as they pulled in fish after fish. He had many happy memories while fishing at Melwood Lake with family and friends. Jimmy Dale owned Mississippi Valley Construction Company with his father and later owned and operated with his son, Express Ready Mix which is now Razorback Concrete. Jimmy is preceded in death by his two wives, Mary Ann Hamilton the mother of his children, and Virgie M. Hamilton; and his sister, Martha Jane Britt. Survivors are his two children, Wade Hamilton and wife, Carrie, Evelyn Ann Hamilton; two grandchildren, Steve Hamilton and Adrianna Hamilton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be 10 a.m Saturday at Linwood Cemetery with Terry Songer officiating. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the Heath Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank Mr. Hamilton's caregivers, Priscilla Davidson, Randy Davidson and Becky Hargett. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
