Jess Leonard Roy, Jr.

Jess "J.L." Roy, Jr., 86, of Paragould, passed from this life on Sunday, October 22, 2023. He was born in Paragould on February 25, 1937, to the late Jess, Sr. and Daisy Roy. J.L. graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1956. He took Wanda Lott as his bride on April 29, 1969. J.L. was gifted with his hands. He was a TV repairman for many years. J.L. played the bass guitar, and he played at the community center for over 20 years. J.L. also enjoyed spending time in his garden. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack Roy; and sisters, Melba Roy, Bonnie Black, and Bernice Morton.

J.L. is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda Roy; daughter, Lisa (Chris) Scorfina; grandson, Dillon (Courtney) Redding; and granddaughter, Sarah Scorfina.

The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10-10:45 at Heath Funeral Home. A graveside funeral will begin at 11 AM at Linwood Cemetery with Rev. Everett Isom officiating.
