Jerry Wayne Brooks

Jerry Wayne Brooks, 56, of Marmaduke, died Thursday at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Jerry was a general contractor, an Army Veteran, and of Baptist faith. He was born January 24, 1953 in Fowler, California the son of Minnie Marie Richardson Brooks and the late Gilford Arnold Brooks. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Albert and Kenneth Brooks. Survivors include his wife: Mary McClure Brooks; daughters: Saramarie, Eishah; mother, Minnie Brooks, all of the home; brothers: Larry Lane Brooks of Jonesboro, Garnet Ray Brooks of Memphis; brothers and sisters-in-law: Delphia Brooks, Ann Miller, Lisa Hunt, Teresa Morgan, Sarah McClure, Bill Blasko, Kevin McClure, John McClure and his beloved nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, at Heath Funeral Home. His life will be celebrated at Marmaduke First Baptist Church, 10:00 AM, Tuesday, with Reverend Kim Bridges officiating. Friends and family will meet for burial at Richardson Cemetery in Hardy at 2:00 PM, Tuesday.
