Jerry "Pops" Dill Sr.

Jerry "Pops" Dill Sr., 63, of Jonesboro, passed away Sunday at the family residence. He graduated from Jonesboro High School, retired from Arkansas Glass Container after 20 years and began working with Dill Construction for 16 years and attended Finch Baptist Church. Jerry was the son of the late Robert Lee and Lola Scholl Dill. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Russell Dill.

Survivors included two sons, Jerry Dill Jr., and Billy (Chrissy) Dill all of Jonesboro; two daughters, Crystal (Brad) Miller of Walnut Ridge and Chasity (Nathan) Elrod of Paragould; two brothers, Robert Mitchem and Tommy Mitchem both of Paragould; two sisters, Sandy Bogan of Brookland and Linda Mitchem of Harrisburg; thirty grandchildren and nine great-grandchilren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday at 2 PM with Rev. Terry Songer officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.
