Jerry Campbell, 71, of Marmaduke, passed away Thursday at St. Bernard's Hospital . He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on October 18, 1949. He was a Army Veteran of the 101st Airborne and a Master Diesel Mechanic. He was of the Baptist Faith. Jerry was the son of the late James Miral and Elizabeth Rief Campbell. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Campbell, Bobby Campbell, Frank Campbell and David Campbell.
Survivors include his loving wife Linda Eakins Campbell; daughters,Tina Hendrix and Theresa (Wesley) Reece of Lafe; son, Jason (Lesley) Campbell of Hattiesburg, MS; grandchildren, Kali Hendrix, Asa Hendrix, Kelsey Pitcher, Alex Reece, Zach Reece ,Elias Campbell and Ethan Ashabranner; great grandchildren, Avery Hendrix, Gage Oglesby, Weston Pitcher, Adalynn Reece, Ryelynn Reece; sister, Vickie Sue (Bill) Pasel; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday night from 6-8 pm at Heath Funeral Home. A service will be held Monday at 11:00 am at the Heath Funeral Home with Melvin York officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the family members. Honorary pallbearers are Melvin Eakins, Butch Sears, Bill Pasel and Sonny Chaffin.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude's or Disabled American Veteran's.
