James Clyde Vaughn Jr., of Paragould, known as JC, was born July 7, 1925, in Paragould AR., and passed away peacefully January 15, 2019.
His parents were JC Vaughn Sr. and Iva Elizabeth Reed Vaughn. He resided in Paragould his entire 93 years, except for the years between 1943 to 1947 where he served his country in the Army. He was a World War II veteran.
Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters - Utha Underwood, Irma Laird-Edge, Thelma West-Alden, and Berniece Franz. He was also preceded in death by his beloved son, Robert Allen Vaughn.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Linda F. Vaughn. He is also survived by son, James Michael Vaughn (Donna) of Lahaina, HI, and step sons Judd Todd Timmons (Michelle) of Fayetteville, GA and Mark Timmons (Lisa) of Gulf Port, MS. He is also survived by grand daughters Shannon Young (Trip) of Maple Grove, MN and their son, TJ and Andrea Warcaba (Duane) of Naperville, IL and their daughters Angelina and Maribelle. Additionally, he is survived by step grandchildren, Ryan, Kelsey, Bethany, Jordan, Bryce, Sara, Mikayla and Kortney and step great grandchildren Jase, Paisley, Jabaree, Jamal, Joshua, Lucas, Owen, and Kaitlynn.
Mr. Vaughn had a very long and successful career in the banking industry, which was a source of great fulfillment. He started very early as a bookkeeper at the National Bank of Commerce in Paragould and worked his way up to President. Later he was president at Simmons Bank in Jonesboro and served on their Board.
He enjoyed his family, golf, gardening and along with his wife Linda -- taking care of the many pets and birds in their large yard. Donations in his honor can be directed to the North East Arkansas Humane Society, Jonesboro, AR or the charity of your choice.
Visitation will be Saturday January 19, 2019 from 1:30 - 2 PM at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will start at 2 with Rev. Kevin Edgar officiating. Burial will follow in Greene county Memorial Gardens.
