Jann Brewer

Jann Hardesty Brewer, 66, of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Unity Health-White County Medical Center in Searcy, Jann was born August 4, 1952 in Caruthersville, Missouri to the late James and Lavern Leak Hardesty. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Chuck Hardesty.

She graduated from Caruthersville High School in 1970, and Arkansas State University in 1974 with a BSE in Special Education. She taught Special Education at Southland School, Cardwell, Missouri before beginning her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Shaw Brewer of Bethesda, Maryland and son William E. Brewer III (Meredith) of Paragould; her companion, Jim Cohorn of Heber Springs; sister, Ashlea Hardesty and Sister-in-law both of Caruthersville, MO.

Later in life, Jann earned a Master's Degree in Rehab Therapy/Mental Health also from Arkansas State University. She became the director of Harmony House of Mid-South Health Systems in Jonesboro for many years before her retirement and move to Heber Springs, Arkansas.

All services are private under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Paragould.
