Jan Steve Owen

Jan “Steve” Owen passed away on November 8, 2016 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro after a long illness. Steve was born in Marmaduke on March 5, 1950. He was a retired Civil Servant for the Social Security Administration. He was an amateur Radio Operator “AD5D” and especially enjoyed his friendship with the Hams on the Arkansas Razorback net.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo and Polly Owen of Blytheville and brother, Jack Owen also of Blytheville.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Owen of the home; daughter, Stephanie (Phillip) White of Steele, MO and two granddaughters; step-sons, Brooks (Janie) Justice and Kevin (Jennifer) Justice of Horn Lake, MS and their five children and two great grandchildren. Steve had a host of friends, some from childhood that he valued very much.

Visitation will be Friday from 12:00-2:00 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Paul Vincent officiating.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the givers choice.
