James Leonard Vaughn

James Leonard Vaughn, 81, of Paragould, died on Saturday at his residence. Leonard was a truck driver and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Vada Ethel Richardson Vaughn; sisters, Jewel Morton, Sue McCullar, Rowena Hyde and Berneice Hester; brothers, Raymond, Everett and Avon Vaughn.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Vaughn of the home; son, James Vaughn (Renee) of Paragould; daughters, Lisa Whitaker (Benny) and Lynda Chesser (Steve) of Paragould; grandchildren, Melissa Kelley, Daniel Vaughn, Josh Whitaker, Lauren Garmarath, Brittany Chesser, Blake Chesser, and Allison Vaughn and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:30-1:30 p.m. at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Wayne Faulkner officiating. Burial will follow in Brown's Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Vaughn, Daniel Vaughn, Josh Whitaker, Tyler Garmarath, Blake Chesser and Kyle Kelley. Honorary Pallbearers are nephews, Bill Elliott and Mack Hester. The family request that memorials be made to Brown's Chapel Cemetery Fund, 1728 Greene Road 765, Paragould, AR 72450.
