James "Jesse" Janes

J. H. (Jesse) Janes, 80, Paragould, died Saturday after a long battle with kidney disease. Jesse was born in Greene County, AR on February 9, 1930 the son of the late Earnest and Nannie Janes. He was also preceded in death by his brothers in law, Ray May and Johnnie Davis, nephews, Jerry and Donald May. He was a long time used car dealer in the Paragould area. Survivors to cherish his memory are brother and wife: Mack and Fritzi Janes of Marion, IL; sisters: Lee May of Clio, MI, Jean Davis of West Covina, CA; nephews: Richard and Martie May, Michael Davis, Tommy Mack Janes; nieces: Janet Davis O'Dil, Diane Davis Dixon, Kim Janes Reynolds and several grand nieces and nephews along with many friends. The family will receive friends at 11:00 AM, Thursday at Heath Funeral Home. The celebration of his life will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday at Heath Colonial Chapel with Reverend Wayne Faulkner officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
